Keeneland has catalogued a record 5,161 horses for its September yearling sale in Lexington. The total is 51 more than the previous record of 5,110 that was established last year. This year’s auction, set for Sept. 11-25 (with a dark day on Sept. 15), also will be the largest ever at Keeneland, eclipsing the previous mark of 5,111 lots for the 2000 November breeding stock auction.
Keeneland will distribute a September preview catalogue via mail next week. The information is now on-line at
www.keeneland.com. The full September sale catalogue will be available Monday, August 21 in print form. The catalogue will also be online on Keeneland’s Web site beginning Tuesday, Aug. 8.
